Taking cognizance of the non-availability of adequate educational facilities in and around the backward village of Makkiyad, the Sylvestro-Benedictine Fathers decided to open a school.
The project saw light on 1 June 1991. The school started with the kindergarden section and went on growing year by year. No effort was spared to get it recognized by the State Education Department. However no positive response was received from the Government. So it was decided to adopt the CBSE syllabus in 1996. Immediately work to obtain affiliation to the SBSE began and every hurdle was overcome. The CBSE granted affiliation to our school in 2004 with No. 930506. The school presented the first batch of students for the AISSE (SSLC) in March 2007 and achieved 100 per cent.
